Design Development
Design development is a collaborative process, shaped around your time and involvement, refining layouts, proportions and form into a clear response to your home, site and planning context.

I use hand-drawn sketches, 3D modelling and digital studies to explore ideas, with AI tools used selectively. Layouts are drawn with furniture, storage and everyday family life in mind, balancing generous shared spaces with quieter, private areas through considered light, flow and circulation.
Space is added only where it genuinely adds value, and every idea is tested for buildability as well as appearance.
Planning Submission
Once the design direction is agreed, I prepare and submit your planning application, drawing on strong experience with listed buildings, Conservation Areas and the Green Belt. Your fee proposal sets out exactly what's included.
Next Steps
I manage the application through the Planning process, guiding proposals towards approval. Once permission is secured, I advise on next steps, either handing over to a trusted network of contractors and consultants, or continuing through detailed design and construction with my technical team support.
I can act as Principal Designer throughout your project, from early design through to construction, including retrofit work where relevant.
